Alex Pardee Monster man

From bumps in the night in your childhood days to the nightmares of the adult mind monsters have held a fascination for most people. They are used to portray stress in modern life and entertain both young and old. However when creating monsters from the imagination few can do it as well, or as spontaneously as Alex Pardee.

A apparel designer and writer from California, USA Perdee has become well known for his imaginative, off the cuff dream like monsters. Often drawn with a graffiti grunge quality the beasts could be seen as a product of his depression and anxiety disorders along with his emotional struggles that he has overcome.

Pardee uses a lot of ink, pens, watercolour and dyes but is wishing to experiment more with oils, acrylics and latex in his art, we can hope to see even more of the far reaches of his monster filled mind.

Much of his work can already be see as illustration work for Hurley International, Bay Area rapper TopR, Twenty Twenty Skateboards, Upper Playground, Street Drum Corps, Aiden, Kid Robot, and lately the cover of In Flames's ninth studio album. Now running a successfully website with his own blog and store eyesuckink.com I look farwards to seeing what comes next.
