Sean Cooper Games
Flash game always struck me as a little dull, but now and again you find a little gem. One of them is Sean Cooper’s 3D flash games the Boxhead series where little men with big guns get to kick zombie ass.
The Boxhead series consists of 5 games starting with his Halloween special 2006. This game was a one player that had you as the hero saving people (or not in my case) from a zombie hoard. In December that year the second game came out Boxhead The Rooms, a one man survival game in a number of arenas fighting off bigger and bigger hoards of flesh eating zombies. This popular game even got as far a seeing a second incarnation as Boxhead More Rooms but its in may of 2007 that things got really interesting. This is when the first 2 player game came out allowing co-op or death match modes. In March 2008 things got crazy with gun emplacements, barricades and mortars in Boxhead The Zombie Wars.
The box head games are not Sean’s only games and on his site you will find comBOTS and the wOne series of games. But it is not only the games Sean gives us, on his site you can find an insight into his games with bits of code and how did he do that help. With links to all his games, a online shop and his development section I think this site is a must look at as inspiration to any new game developer.
